A Prayer for the Human Family BCP 815
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Announcements:
Sunday services through August
The Vestry has voted that we will have a “Service of the Word” twice a month, with supply priests being utilized on the other Sundays. We will continue to follow the bulletin for these services but will, of course, exclude the Holy Eucharist. The sermon can be a brief homily, with the topic being any of the readings of the day, or experiences and thoughts that relate to the readings. This table shows the open dates through August. Katherine and Joey will be delivering sermons on 8/17 and 8/31, but a second person is needed to assist. If you are interested in participating in any of the services, or are unable to participate as assigned, please let Connie know.
New Windows for the Parish Hall
We have met the challenge to raise $3500 for our new parish hall windows. Thank you so much to all who donated. The windows have been ordered and will be placed soon. The painting of the building trim is moving along, in spite of our heat wave!
Our new website
Please visit our new website. Our Discernment Committee has worked very hard on the content of the site. It is looking good! There is another form that is to be utilized if you have someone, or something, you would like for Grace members to remember in prayer. Both forms can be found on the Parish Hall bulletin board, and on the office door. Completed forms should be placed in the office drop box by the side door.
Morning and Evening Prayer via Zoom
Morning Prayer is said Tuesday and Saturday mornings at 9 A.M. Evening Prayer is said Wednesday evenings at 8 P.M. Please contact Andy Bonnell at [email protected] if you would like to join these Zoom meetings.
Gathering Grace
Thanks to all who helped with last Sunday’s meal. We served 145 meals of ham and noodle casserole, salad, and cupcakes! We couldn’t have done it without you. Volunteers are always appreciated anytime from noon to four. This Sunday, 6/29/25, we will serve cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, deviled eggs, and salad.
A Better Way. Needs for June/July.
Children are out of school and items are needed to keep them entertained. Please consider donating some of the following – sidewalk chalk, ankle skippers, activity books, flip flops, bubble wands, jump ropes, frisbees, balls, yo-yos, and nerf footballs. Dollar Tree and Dollar General have these at a reasonable price. Thank You!
Daughters of the King
On June 26 we will meet at the church or on Zoom for our monthly meeting beginning with a bring your own dinner at 6:30 and a short meeting beginning at 7. The topic for the program is a discussion of a book by Steven Charleston, a Native American bishop.
Adult Education
Next Sunday, June 22, there will be a study of the lessons appointed for that day. Bring your favorite Bible and concordance. No lectures, just respectful questions and discussions of meanings and applications for today. These study sessions begin at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday mornings in the parish hall.
