Grace Notes February 13, 2025

Last week I announced the Grace Notes would be sent every two weeks. After some thought, that will be the goal after the Lenten season.

Thank you to all who participated in the “Holy Conversations”. The Discernment Committee is now hard at work developing our profile and readying us for the next steps in the process.

February 16, 2025. Father Mark Van Wassenhove will be our supply priest.

Midweek Ecumenical Lenten Lunch and Learn

We have been invited to join area churches for a Mid-week Lenten meal and study. This year we will be gathering at churches for lunch beginning at 12:30pm to 1:30pm and we will be studying the book, Word by Word by Marilyn McEntyre. Consider supporting our local bookstore by getting your copy at Ink Drinkers Anonymous, at 108 S Walnut Street, Suite 218 Muncie, Indiana 47305 (765) 881-0809

Membership committee. This committee will be tasked with assisting in the clean-up of our membership information. The first meeting will be the last week of this month.

As our parish profile is updated, we will need photos. Please share photos of Grace Church activities to gracechurchparish@gmail, subject line “photos”.

Sunday School Needs. We need a second person in the Sunday school room through May. If you can sign up for a Sunday, please do so on the sign-up sheet on the Parish Hall bulletin board. The Diocese requires two adults for every Sunday school classroom. We also need someone to volunteer to lead Sunday school in the 2025-2026 school year.

Gathering Grace. Last Sunday we served 114 meals. Thank you to all of the volunteers that came to help last Sunday.

A Better Way needs for the month of February~ New pillows (Walmart currently has a pack of 2 for $10.34), razors, adult winter gloves, warm blankets (new or gently used), towels (new or gently used). A Better Way is at capacity, and they run out of essential items quickly, especially pillows and blankets. Thank you, Grace church for your January donations, they are already being put to use.

Christian Ministries needs body soap, shampoo, laundry soap, toilet paper, dry and canned foods.

Happy birthday!
